Major Hospitals and Dialysis Centers used to use the acid concentrate required for Haemodialysis, which we refer to as Part A in liquid form. The base part (which we refer to as Part B) has to be in powder form because it is unstable in liquid form and has to be used by the patient within 6–8 hours of conversion to liquid form (by adding RO water) at the place of use.
After talking to representatives of various hospitals and dialysis centers around the world we realized that storage was a big issue. Lack of storage in these facilities meant that they could not stock supply as per the requirement of the patients. Their inventory finished very fast and they would not have supply to last even the lead time of the delivery schedules.
So we came up with the Dry Citracon. Since powder is easy and cheap to transport as opposed to liquid which is expensive and cumbersome.
We even pass the cost saving on transport & canisters to the centers, significantly reducing cost per dialysis, while ensuring quality of the same or even greater order as compared to the liquid form of the acid concentrate.
Dry Citracon also reduces heparin consumption by up to 45%, reduces inflammation in patients and can be used on patients with liver failure.
